Lyme Disease Causes Symptoms of Autism and Auto-Immune Conditions

Posted by Susan Bennett on

Informal studies show that at least 20-30% of children diagnosed with autism also test positive for Lyme Disease. Clinicians are reporting numbers ranging from 20% all the way to 90%.

Lyme disease, caused by Borrelia burgdorferi, is the most common vector-borne disease in the United States and Europe:

Last year alone, 325,000 reported new cases of Lyme Disease were reported in the United States. Below is the CDC's 2017 map indicating incidence of reported Lyme Disease cases:

Lyme Disease continues to be under-diagnosed due to the Center for Disease Control’s and NIH’s lack of interest in allocating resources to study, identify outbreaks of, treat, and develop reliable tests to identify Lyme Disease.  The Western Blot test is not accurate and there are many false negatives. Energetic medicine testing may also be available through alternative practitioners.

Why has the CDC ignored what has become one of the major plagues of our time and is doing virtually nothing to stop its spread, basically negating it's reason to exist which is control infectious diseases?  The answer may lie at the location of the outbreak in Lyme Connecticut.  Seventeen miles offshore is Plum Island, owned by the government, and home to one of the government's largest bioweapons development facilities.  There is strong evidence that experiments on ticks were being done on Plum Island at the time of the initial 1975 Lyme disease outbreak.

Lyme disease is usually contracted through a tick bite which may go unnoticed as ticks can be a small as a poppy seed. Most people who have Lyme don’t recall a tick bite or rash.  According to the American Lyme Disease Foundation, Borrelia bugdorferi-like organisms have also been found in moquitoes, horse flies, and deer flies in areas where Lyme disease is endemic. Yet the CDC and NIH have no made an effort to determine whether the disease is transmitted through other insects.  It is anecdotally believed to be transmitted through mosquitoes and head lice.

While most people think that Lyme can only be spread by ticks, congenital transmission from mother to child during pregnancy is most likely the cause for children with Lyme-induced autism. Moreover, we believe there is a whole generation of women who have been diagnosed with a “label” diagnosis, such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, autoimmune conditions, unexplained inflammation, unexplained immune deficiencies, psychiatric conditions such as depression or anxiety, joint pain or muscle pain who have undiagnosed Lyme Disease infections.

To remove a tick:

1.  Don't panic.  Remove the tick as soon as possible.  Fine-tipped tweezers can work.

2.  Pull upward with steady or even pressure.  Don't twist or jerk the tick; this can cause the mouth-parts to break off and remain in the skin.  If this happens, remove the mouth-parts with tweezers.

3.  After removing the tick, thoroughly clean the bite area and your hands with rubbing alcohol or soap and water.

4.  Save the tick in a ziploc and bring it with you to your doctor to test to determine if the tick is infected, if this testing is available in your area.

5.  Never crush a tick with your fingers.

See your doctor and ask to be put on a course of antibiotics to prevent Lyme Disease.  If your doctor isn't willing to do this, find another doctor who will.

Antibiotics are frequently prescribed to treat Lyme Disease and may need to be done for bursts of several days and rotated. Prelimnary studies indicate that children diagnosed with autism and Lyme who were treated with antibiotics improved in scores on the Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist (ATEC). Anecdotal reports included improved speech, eye contact, sleep patterns, and reduction in repetitive behaviors.

The Lyme Disease bacterium  protects itself from being killed by antibiotics and herbal extracts by covering itself with  a biofilm that prevents treatments from reaching the bacteria. Autism Coach biofilm products can help strip away the biofilms.Natural supplements effective against Lyme Disease include:

Are Auto-Immune Conditions Really Chronic Infections?

An “auto-immune” condition is defined as condition where the body attacks its own tissues. Both “auto-immune conditions” and chronic infections result in inflammation. What is inflammation? It is the body’s natural response to infections. When we get the flu, the symptoms of the flu (fever, aching, runny nose) not the result of [...]

Unbottling Common Neurotransmitter Bottlenecks

Each of us contains a chemistry set that carries out complex chemical reactions throughout our body and brain.  These chemical reactions make up our metabolism (chemical changes in the body) and keep us alive.   Most of these chemical reactions are carried out with the help of enzymes.  Metabolic processes break down substances, form new substances, [...]

Alcohol, Marijuana, Autism and ADD/ADHD - Part 2 - Safer Approaches to Balancing Neurotransmitters and Feeling Good

Young adults with autism and ADD/ADHD are more at risk for developing an addiction to recreational substances because they have a neurotransmitter imbalance that contributes to feelings of agitation, anxiety, depression, and anger. Recreational substances can temporarily increase levels of neurotransmitters that promote a feeling of happiness, relaxation, and well being. The problem is when recreational substances [...]

Eliminate Biofilms to Restore Health

Over 80% of all infections are created by micro-organisms producing a biofilm. A biofilm is a slime formed by a colony of micro-organisms that lives under the biofilm and hides from both the immune system and antibiotics. This colony of pathogenic organisms is glued to a surface and protectively covered by the biofilm. The vast [...]
