Autism Coach is pleased to introduce a great tasting, healthful cooking to the United States autism community, Red Palm Oil is made from the fruit of the oil palm, Elaeis guineensis, found in Africa and Asia, and has been a source of cooking oil in tropical climates in Africa, the Middle East and Asia for thousands of years. Our Red Palm Oil provides Vitamin A and E that naturally occur in the palm oil. This allows people who are sensitive to soy to obtain a soy-free source of Vitamin E and for those that don't metabolize artificial forms of Vitamin A well, another natural source of Vitamin A. It is not hydrogenated nor processed with toxic solvents such as hexane and contains no trans-fatty acids. It gets its red color from the carotenoids, tocotrienols, and lycopene that naturally occur in red palm fruit.

It also contains high levels of tocotrienols, members of the Vitamin E family that differ from tocopherols in that they contain three double bonds in the side-chain. Red Palm oil contains a significant amount of Alpha Tocotrienol, which is 40-60 more potent than normal tocopherals in making an important fat-soluble anti-oxidants - t
ocotrienols are the real powerhouse with some research showing them to have 40-60 times the antioxidant activity or ordinary vitamin E.
. One serving contains 4788 ug of beta-carotene, 2212 ug of alpha-carotene, and 798 ug of lycopene, an anti-oxidant normally found in tomatoes. The combination of vitamin E, tocotrienols, carotenoids, and lycopene makes palm oil a super antioxidant food.
