Product Description

  • Important for DNA & RNA*
  • A Dietary Supplement
  • Vegetarian Product
Glycine is an amino acid and inhibitory (calming) neurotransmitter in the central nervous system, especially in the spinal cord, brainstem, and retina. In autism, an insufficiency of calming neurotransmitters such as GABA and excessive glutamate toxicity are theorized to be a potential cause of autism. An angonist for the NDMA (N-methylD-aspartic acid) glutatmate receptor, such as glycine, may prevent glutamate from overexciting neurons and may improve symptoms of autism. Glycine, taurine and GABA can work together as a calming neurotransmitter.*
