Allithiamine (Thiamine tetrahytdrofurfurly disulfide) is is a
lipid-soluble form of Vitamin B1. It is typically more easily
absorbed and used by children within the autism spectrum than other
forms of B1. A sulfur containing vitamin, it helps cells to
promote sulfation, which is typically deficient with children in the
autism spectrum. Sulfation is one of the primary mechanisms by
which the body detoxifies itself. Allithiamine also helps to
normalize movement through the gastrointestinal tract. Allithiamine is
the primary ingredient in Authia Cream, which is used by some parents of
children to promote detoxification. The functions of vitamin B1
also include carbohydrate metabolism, nerve conduction and transmissions, energy production and oxygen metabolism.
